Let me be honest – deciding to cross Greenland’s ice sheet in 2026 began as a selfish dream. Like many drawn to extreme environments, I’ve battled internal challenges that make even ordinary days feel overwhelming. The stark clarity I found during previous Arctic experiences showed me a path forward – where purpose meets challenge, where comfort gives way to growth. But what started as a personal quest has evolved into something larger.
Through my coaching work, I’ve witnessed how authentic stories of challenge and triumph can transform lives. When I help people navigate their own difficult terrains – whether rebuilding their lives, pursuing long-held dreams, or seeking meaningful change – the raw lessons learned in extreme environments resonate deeply. This is where the selfish becomes selfless: every brutal day on the ice, every challenge overcome, every insight gained becomes a tool to help others push beyond their perceived limits.
The next stage of this journey begins in March 2025 with a crucial 10-day training expedition in Svalbard at 80°N. Working with experienced polar guides from Icetrek, this intensive preparation will test every system and skill needed for the greater challenge ahead. From polar camping at -35°C to hauling sleds across glaciers, each day builds essential expertise.
Then, in May 2026, comes the ultimate challenge – a 540-kilometer traverse across Greenland’s ice sheet. Following in the footsteps of legendary explorer Fridtjof Nansen, this 30-day journey represents one of polar exploration’s greatest achievements. It demands exceptional endurance, unwavering determination, and the ability to persevere through extreme conditions.
These expeditions embody the core principles of my coaching practice – where mindset mastery meets meaningful achievement, where careful preparation enables extraordinary outcomes, and where pushing personal boundaries creates lasting transformation. The lessons learned at -35°C translate directly to any significant life challenge, showing that with the right mindset, preparation, and support, we can all push beyond our comfort zones and create extraordinary stories of our own.
By documenting every step, from first training days to final crossing, I’m creating a living case study in achievement – one that will enrich my ability to guide others in their own transformative journeys. This isn’t just about reaching the other side of Greenland; it’s about showing what’s possible when we dare to dream bigger and back those dreams with purposeful action.
Sometimes the greatest achievements start with a single step. Mine begins at 80°N, but I hope that its impact will reach far beyond the ice. You can read more about my Raw Truth here.
