Spoiler alert: No ice or snow required (unless you want to).
Let’s be real – when you hear “mindset and performance coach who leads Arctic expeditions,” you might think you need to pack thermal underwear for our first session. Rest assured, your comfort zone can remain exactly as warm as you like it. Though I won’t stop you if you want to join me in Greenland!
The Questions You’re Really Wondering About
“Do I need to have my life completely falling apart to benefit from coaching?” Nope! Think of personal development like a fitness journey. Some people start because they need to rehabilitate an injury (-5 to 0 on our scale), while others are already running marathons but want to improve their time (0 to +5). Most of us? We’re somewhere in between, dealing with both challenges and aspirations. You can work on your metaphorical pulled hamstring while building those emotional biceps.
“Is this going to be all serious, all the time?” About as serious as a penguin in a tuxedo. Yes, we tackle important stuff, but growth doesn’t have to feel like eating your vegetables. Some of the best breakthroughs happen when we’re not taking ourselves too seriously.
“What if I’m already successful but feel something’s missing?” Ah, the old “great on paper, but…” scenario. You’d be surprised how many seemingly “sorted” people are asking themselves, “Is this it?” Success and fulfillment aren’t always the same thing, and sometimes the bigger the house, the louder the echo of “what’s next?”
The Nitty Gritty
We meet weekly (or thereabouts – we’re flexible), sessions are focused but friendly, and yes, you’ll have some “homework” – though we call it practice because homework sounds too much like high school algebra.
Some people want specific outcomes (better leadership, stronger relationships, clearer direction), while others are looking for deeper transformation. We can do both. It’s like choosing between a GPS for a specific destination or learning to navigate by the stars – both get you somewhere interesting.
The Bottom Line
Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, imposter syndrome, or just feeling like there’s another level to unlock in your life, coaching is about finding your path forward. Sometimes that means fixing what’s broken, sometimes it means building something new, and often it’s both at the same time.
No, you don’t need to be perfect to start. No, you don’t need to know exactly what you want. And no, you definitely don’t need to know how to use an ice axe (though I’m happy to teach you if you’re interested).
“The most challenging expeditions aren’t just physical – they’re mental. Whether you’re facing personal hurdles or professional peaks, your mindset is your most powerful tool for transformation.”

P.S. If you’re wondering whether you’re ready for coaching, asking that question usually means you are. It’s like wondering if you should start eating better – the fact that you’re thinking about it is usually sign enough.
