Seriously, when was the last time a really good comedy was released?
The world has changed. And I’m not talking about covid or that fucktard in Russia!
I’m talking about the fact that we don’t seem to be able to laugh at things anymore.
We’ve somehow arrived at a place where whatever you laugh at or whatever you joke about… you’re going to offend someone.
I feel it’s ridiculous that we can’t laugh at life anymore. That we can’t joke about things that make us uncomfortable or that is relevant.
I mean come on, laughing is a way of processing tough situations don’t you think?
For us to talk about things that might make us uncomfortable and deal with it together. Laughing.
Look, I’m all for being woke and the social awareness that comes with it but I feel that we have lost the plot.
Totally.
Yes, I understand that we need to have an awareness of other people and other beliefs and other viewpoints and other opinions.
And being nice and being kind should always be the north star.
But we should still be able to laugh?
Shouldn’t we?
What a lot of the wokesters don’t seem to get is that you get a bad thing, and then you get a joke about the bad thing.

I miss movies where we can laugh at everything and anything.
Yes, even things that make you a little uncomfortable.
I think we are better for it.
We’re better for being able to laugh.
And be shocked a little.
And feel a little uncomfortable.
But laughing is important.
And fun.
And necessary!
You would not be able to make this movie today. People will be beyond offended and the wokesters would want to just cancel everything.
And I feel the world is a poorer place for it.
We should be able to laugh.
We have to!
