Journeys That Matter.
The field changes how people think. Not because of what they see. Because of what the environment demands of them. Decisions under pressure. Presence without distraction. The kind of clarity that only shows up when comfort disappears.
I've spent 25 years building experiences that do this. In the African bush. On Arctic ice. In lodge operations and remote wilderness. Some of these are structured leadership programmes. Some are personal retreats. Some are private, curated travel. Some are photographic expeditions through Wild Eye.
Four ways to get into the field with me. Each one is different. Different environment. Different intensity. Different outcome. Pick the one that fits.
Outcome-based field experiences for teams, executives, small businesses, and groups who want to be immersed with a specific goal in mind. Resilience. Mindset. Strategy. Built around what your group needs.
Explore →Scheduled retreats you can join solo or custom retreats for your group. Rest, recovery, breathwork, photography as a mindset tool, and space to reset. Not corporate. Not woo-woo. Just real work on how you're doing.
Explore →Three days to ten days in the field. Structured around a specific outcome for your group. Could be a luxury lodge. Could be a rustic bush camp. The setting matches what your group needs. The environment does the real work. Nature strips away the noise and creates the conditions for honest conversation, clear thinking, and real connection. The sessions are built around what your group is facing and the six basic human needs that drive how every person in the room actually operates. Every delivery is different because every group is different. The framework gives it structure. The experience makes it stick.
Offsites, strategy retreats, leadership transitions. The field reveals what six months of boardroom meetings won't. For teams ready to work on how they actually operate, not how they think they do.
Growing companies navigating real pressure. Strategy and performance work built around what's actually happening in your business, not a generic framework.
Friend groups, community organisations, special interest groups. If your group has a reason to be in the field together and a goal worth pursuing, I can build something around it.
Performance, decision-making, and mental fitness for students, educators, and faculty. Age-appropriate. Practically framed. Real tools, not theory.
Scheduled Retreats
Scheduled retreats you can join solo or custom retreats for your group. Rest. Recovery. Perspective. Preparation for whatever comes next. Breathwork for regulation. Meditation for focus. Yoga for recovery. Photography as a creative reset. The tools change depending on the group. The intention doesn't. It's real. It's human. And it works.

You bring the people. I design the experience. Couples, friend groups, work teams, community groups, schools, universities. The format adapts. Some want structure. Some want space. Some want both.
Looking for a fully private, curated trip?Bespoke travel itineraries for individuals, couples, and families. Worldwide. Cities, culture, wildlife, nature, landscape. Private guide. Every detail handled. I design the experience around what you want. I host. Wild Eye manages the logistics. This is not a group tour. This is not a package. This is built around you.
All photographic tours run through Wild Eye, the company I co-founded 14 years ago. Small groups. Real time in the field. Teaching in the moment, not in a classroom.
Trips I Host
These are the tours I lead personally. My teaching, my field experience, my presence on every drive.
All Wild Eye Tours
I'm a proud shareholder of Wild Eye. The company changes the way people see the world. Even the tours I'm not hosting are worth every moment. Every guide carries a standard we built together over 14 years.

Safari Guest"I can't thank Gerry enough for taking the time to look at my fledgling website with me. Professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely generous with his time."
Safari Guest"Passionate and knowledgeable, with a way of connecting with people that makes you feel like family."
Safari Guest"Under Gerry's leadership, we weren't just passive observers. We experienced Borneo. Every day was a new adventure, and every moment was packed with meaning."
Borneo Expedition GuestThe Greenland Crossing
In May 2026, I'm attempting an unsupported crossing of the Greenland Ice Sheet. 540km. 25 days. 70 to 100kg sled. This is not a trip people join. This is my expedition. My test. Because I believe that knowledge, wisdom, and resilience live at the extremes of human experience. Sometimes life forces you there. Sometimes you walk in deliberately. I'm walking in. What I bring back feeds everything I build, every person I coach, and every team I work with.
Follow the journey. Live tracking, dispatches from the ice, and the full story as it unfolds.

Want to Know What an Arctic Expedition Feels Like? And Work on Your Resilience While You're at It.
If you've been following the Greenland journey and wondering what an Arctic expedition actually feels like, this is your way in. No Arctic experience needed. Professional polar guides. A small group. Five days on the ice in Svalbard, Norway. Skiing, sled hauling, and camping in conditions most people only read about. You will need a reasonable level of physical fitness, but that's part of the process. I'll coach you through the preparation personally so you arrive ready.
Plus two days of resilience coaching before we hit the ice and two days of debrief after we come off. The expedition is the experience. The coaching is what you take home.
Dates: March 28 to April 1, 2027 on the ice. Plus coaching days before and after. 9 days total.
Eight days on and around the ice. Resilience coaching. Real polar expedition. No experience needed. Limited places. You will need to train and prepare, and I will guide you through every step of that. What I can tell you is this: you will come back a different person.
